Ergothioneine or AC-EGT-P is a rare natural chiral amino acid biosynthesized in certain bacteria and fungi, and is widely distributed in mammalian cells and tissues. Although it is not produced in the human body, it can be absorbed through the OCTN1 transporter. Known for its high safety, stability, and bioavailability, AC-EGT-P possesses powerful antioxidant properties and natural safety, making it suitable for applications in food, cosmetics, and other industries.
